I. Name, Purpose, and Incorporation
II. ORGANIZATION, TEACHING, COVENANT, AND ASSOCIATION
A. Organization
The government of this church is:
1. Vested in the body of believers who compose its membership.
2. Subject to the control of no other churchly body.
B. Teaching
The doctrinal statement adopted by the body shall govern this church; namely The Baptist
Faith and Message as currently adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention.
C. Covenant
The church covenant that binds this church fellowship shall be the covenant adopted by the body,
a copy of which is herein attached.
D. Association
The cooperation of this church shall be with the East Central Illinois Baptist Association, the
Illinois Baptist State Association, and the Southern Baptist Convention.
