Announcements

Special Business Meeting
A special business meeting has been called for Sunday, Febrary 27, immediately following the morning worship service.  Proposed amendments to our Constitution will be considered at the meeting.  Please review the 'Guidelines for a Healthy Discussion and Good Decision Making' document prior to the meeting and come prepared to help us discern and pursue God's will on these important matters.  Thank you.

A New Capital Campaign
A New Capital Campaign is set to be launched on Sunday, March 6.  We have set a target of $150,000 in order to have the funds necessary to complete the building project this year.  We have set a faith goal of holding our first service in the new building on October 2, 2011.  Please watch for your next edition of the College Ave News for more details.

Study and Pray for North America
Study and pray for North American Missions on Wednesday, March 16 at 6:30 P.M.  Plan to attend our missions study and special prayer service for North American Missions.  Please pray about what God would have yhou give to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering this year.  Our goal is $900.

Care Ministry
We are working to improve and update our Care Minsitry Team.  Could this important ministry be the right one for you?  Please let the church office know if you could write notes, make calls, etc on behalf of CABC to show the Love of God to those who choose to worship here with us.  Also, if you have suggestions that would help to improve this ministry, please contact the church office.

Simple Church
You are familiar with Simple Life, but are you familiar with Simple Church?  Read the book that started it all.  Did you know CABC has been striving to be a "Simple Church" since 2006?  If you haven't read Simple Church, we have loaner copies available for circulation.  Pick up a copy today and find out what Simple Church is all about.  To reserve a copy, contact the church office.  You may also get a copy at your local Christian book store or go to www.lifeway.com or www.amazon.com to order online.

Simple Church Celebration
All small groups and any interested persons are encouraged to attend an event to celebrate what God has done through our Simple Life study.  The special event will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 9.  Everyone is welcome.

Assimilation Team
Do you like to meet new people?  Are you interested in seeing CABC grow?  If so, the Assimilation Team may be the right ministry for you!  Team members work to follow-up with those who are showing an interest in CABC.  Your job is to simply help them find ways to connect and become members at CABC.  Please contact the church office if you are interested to learn more about this vital ministry.

Grow in God's Word
Many CABC attendees use Journey, Open Windows or some other daily devotion material.  Go to www.biblegateway.com and click on "Bible Reading Plans."  They offer several options that will take you through the Bible in one year.  Do you have a plan to grow in your devotion to God's Word in 2011?  Why not prayerfully consider adopting a spiritual growth plan for 2011.  Check the table and shelf in the foyer by the coat rack for resources and free materials through out the year.
